Prof. Sheikh is Assistant Professor in Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE), Aliah University. He received his B. Tech from University of Kalyani and M. Tech from Jadavpur University of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering in 2004 and 2008 respectively, and pursuing his doctoral degree from Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad, India.
Prof Sheikh's current research interests are in the areas of Image Processing and Computer Vision, Image processing of remote sensing images, with focusing on Man-made objects object extraction and change detection from aerial/satellite images and laser scanning (LiDAR) data. Robotics and Real-time application modeling with TI DSP’s is another area he is working on.

B. Tech Student Project Supervision
Served as the Teacher-in Charge (TIC), Dept. of Electronics & Communication Engineering. As TIC, played key role in setting up labs, curriculum development, interaction with other faculty members of other university, arranging seminar, workshop etc.
Executed administrative functions in the faculty.
