Dr. Sumaiya Ahmed, Assistant Professor, Department of Islamic Studies, Aliah University, Kolkata, West Bengal. She joined this reputed university as an Assistant Professor in the year 2019. She completed her Ph.D in Islamic Studies from Aligarh Muslim University (AMU)  on the research topic “Contribution of Bengal (West Bengal) to Islamic Studies Since 1947” and specialized herself in the fields of Indian History and History of Bengal, Muslim culture and civilization in India, Muslim in Bengal.
