It is with profound humility, gratitude, and a deep sense of purpose that I join Aliah University (AU).   AU stands as a beacon of academic excellence and a symbol of our shared commitment to the pursuit of knowledge, innovation, and societal progress. I am honoured to be entrusted with the responsibility of leading this esteemed university into its next phase of growth and transformation.

From its historic roots as one of India’s oldest institutions of higher learning to its current status as a multidisciplinary university, Aliah University has been a pioneer in harmonizing tradition with modernity. Our university is unique in its mission of blending quality education with the values of integrity, inclusivity, and service to humanity.

As I assume this leadership role, I see Aliah University as a breeding ground for nurturing talent, encouraging critical thinking, and empowering individuals to make meaningful contributions to the society at large. Together, we will strive to uphold and enhance the university’s legacy by focusing on several key areas: Academic Excellence, Student-Centric Growth, Faculty Empowerment, Community Engagement and Societal Impact, Infrastructure and Digital Transformation, Industry-Academia Linkages, Internationalization, Sustainability and Ethical Leadership.

We will continue to promote an environment where both faculty and students are encouraged to push the boundaries of knowledge. Research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaboration will be prioritized to position Aliah University at the forefront of academic and intellectual discourse. Our students are the heart of this institution. We will ensure they receive the necessary resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive academically and professionally. Ensuring a safe, inclusive, and vibrant campus life will be central to our mission.

The strength of a university lies in its faculty members. I am committed to creating an enabling environment where our educators and researchers can excel and contribute to the global body of knowledge while inspiring our students. Aliah University has a unique responsibility to serve not just its students but also the larger community. Through outreach, partnerships, and impactful projects, we will strengthen our role as a driver of positive change in the broader community.

Aliah University will strengthen its Industry-Academia linkages. These linkages will be used as catalysts for, among others, revising syllabi of various academic programmes, securing consultancy projects for mutual benefits and invite industry leaders/ experts as guest speakers to enrich our academic pursuits.

Internationalization of the university will also be given due focus. In fact, internationalization will be considered as an important pillar of Aliah University. Faculty, students exchange programmes, collaborative research works and international collaborations will be established  through MoUs with leading universities and research institutes of national and international repute.

To meet the challenges of the modern era, we must continuously enhance our infrastructure and embrace technology. A robust digital ecosystem will be vital for fostering connectivity, efficiency, and innovation. Furthermore, as curators of our shared future, we will ensure that sustainability and ethical values underpin all our decisions and initiatives.

I invite every member of the Aliah University family - students, faculty, staff, alumni, and all other stakeholders - to join hands in this common mission.
