Dr. Nargis Tabassum is Assistant Professor at the Department of English,Aliah University,serving the institutionsince March 2021.Formerly, she was associated with Joypur Panchanan Roy College (affiliated to Calcutta University) as an Assistant Professor in English since May 2017. She has earned her Ph. D from the University of Lucknow and her doctoral thesis was on the plays of Girish Karnad.She has presented her research papers in various national and international conferences and her papers have been published in several refereed journals and anthologies. During the Pandemic period she has addressed several online workshops in national platforms as a Resource Person as well.Her career objectives include excelling in the field of teaching and research and guiding her students to aspire to greater heights. Her areas of interest encompass Indian English Drama, Ancient European Drama, British Poetry, Literary Criticism and Theory in general and Subaltern Studies in particular.
