Dr. Benhur Ruqsana joined the Department of Economics as an Assistant Professor in February 2026. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Centre for Economic Studies and Planning (CESP) at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. Prior to her current appointment, Dr. Ruqsana gained extensive teaching experience at several prominent institutions including St. Xavier’s University, Kolkata and Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Her research interests lie at the intersection of Applied Microeconomics, Game Theory and Network Economics, with a particular focus on public goods in networked environments. Additionally, Dr. Ruqsana has presented her research at several prestigious academic forums, and her scholarly work has been published in reputed journals.
