Thought on teaching
I whole heartedly believe in the philosophy that teaching is a knowledge exchange process where I view myself primarily as a leaner. As I belong to Geography discipline, I try to make the students understand the uniqueness of our discipline as Geography is the blend of science, social science and arts.

My research journey was started with doctoral work on ‘A Geographical Analysis of Livelihood Transformation in the Urban Fringe of Aligarh City’. Later on I was engaged in Post-Doctoral research work on ‘Status of Women in National Capital Territory of Delhi: A Livelihood Perspective’. So, I am interested to work on livelihood issues where people are trying to cope from their present vulnerable situation. At present, my research focus is on health and livelihood of vulnerable communities living in different physical environment and socio-cultural milieu in the era of climate change.
