Dr. Prakriti Ranjan Sarkar has been awarded for Ph.D. in Education from the University of Calcutta for his doctoral thesis on Teachers’ ICT perception. He has done B.Sc. Honours , M.Sc., B.Ed. and M.Ed. all from the University of Calcutta. He has qualified himself in both NET and SET examinations. He enjoyed National Scholarship, 2000 on the basis of his UG (Honours) result for a duration of two years from the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India. He has publications in a number of ISSN journals and ISBN books. He has participated in a number of state, national and international conferences, workshops, seminars, webinars, trainings, orientation courses and sensitization programmes. He loves to introduce himself as a teacher as teaching is his passion. He believes teaching and research are complementary to each other. Interdisciplinary researches are among his priorities and work plans. He teaches courses in B.Ed., M.A.(Education) and Ph.D.(Education) programmes. Considering his teaching commitment he prefers to include audio-visual aids in class rooms and negotiate exchanges of ideas between teacher and the students to expand the sphere of knowledge. Establishment of smart classrooms in the University and its proper usage brought great benefit in this regard.
