Jaidul Islam is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography with research interests in the fields of Physical Geography, Urban Planning and Remote Sensing & GIS. He received a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Geography from Aliah University, Kolkata, India, in 2012 and 2018, respectively. He also received a PG Diploma in Advanced Remote Sensing and GIS from Jadavpur University in 2015.
