Dr. Haidar is currently working as Head in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Aliah University, Kolkata. He was awarded both M.E and Ph.D degree from Jadavpur University. Earlier he has worked as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Birbhum Institute of Engineering and Technology, Suri. He also worked as a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering Department at SRSV (Govt. Polytechnic). He has published more than 15 International and National Journal papers of repute and about 15 research papers in reputed national and international conferences proceedings. He is the council member of  The Institute of Indian Foundrymen. His research interest is in Composite Materials, Materials Synthesis, Foundry Technology and Powder Metallurgy.
