DELNET
DELNET is a major resource-sharing library network in South Asia which covers a wise spectrum of member-libraries and their resources connecting more than 1170 libraries in 30 States and UTs in India and six overseas countries. Started in 1988 at the India International Centre in New Delhi it was registered as a society in 1992.DELNET is committed to pool the information about resources scattered in the libraries in the country and consolidate information through union catalogues, lists and other databases. This is being done to satisfy the major information requirements of students, reserchers, scholars and the public in the country. DELNET is extensively providing Interlibrary Loan and Document Delivery facilities to its member-libraries in and outside the country and is one of most widely used and popular services of DELNET. DELNET databases has crossed more than the six million records.DELNET has moved to its newly constructed building in JNU Campus in October 2005.
