I am an information professional with ample experience in library administration, research as well as teaching. I have work experience of designing, development and implementation of library system for the effective utilization of information resources, formulation of library policies and procedures and maintenance of effective systems. I have played a pivotal role in the development of Subject Information Gateway in Information Technology (SIGIT), the first Subject Gateway in the world exclusively in the field of IT, developed at Aligarh Muslim University, Aligarh, India. I had been the principal Project Fellow of the Major Research Project to develop SIGIT, funded by NSTMIS, Department of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. I also have worked as an Assistant Professor (on contract) in Library and Information Science in Farook College (Autonomous), affiliated to the University of Calicut, Kerala. Since December 2020, I have been working as Assistant Librarian in Aliah University, Kolkata.
